Graduate Sam Gasch, now steeped in the entertainment industry, learned an early thirst for theater right here at THA on our soon-to-be-replaced temporary stage donated by Stanley Barlin, Chairman of the Board. After graduating from THA with the class of 2002, he attended Catalina Foothills and continued his education at Colorado College. With a fresh Bachelors in hand, he set out to follow his dreams, relocating to LA and to become an actor and writer. “The first time I was ever an actor was at THA! I played a Tzaddi in our first-grade play. I can safely say that if it weren't for THA, I would never have developed a love for acting.” Sam is more remembered for his portrayal of Tevya in an Upper School production of Fiddler on the Roof; however, his most recent works include Tournament, Labyrinth, and Hardly Easlie. Sam recently debuted his latest project, Tournament, in Tucson, on November 22nd. Click the here to check out the trailer.
Fondest memory of THA: "One of my favorite memories from THA is Mrs. Brickell, my 2nd Grade teacher. She wore clip-on earrings and anytime we made her smile big or made her laugh particularly hard, one of her earrings fell off. It always felt a little bit like magic and is something that I can clearly remember over 20 years later!"
