Leaving Your Legacy
Supporters and friends of Tucson Hebrew Academy have an opportunity to strengthen our mission and secure our financial future through gifts to our established endowment fund at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona (JCF) and/or by establishing a personal endowment fund that supports our organization year after year.
Your legacy and your commitment to our students will endure by contributing to the THA Teacher Excellence Fund or the Tucson Hebrew Academy Capital Fund or creating your named endowment fund.
Because every life situation is unique, we encourage you to consult with your financial advisor(s) while you are making these important legacy decisions.
Ways to Support Tucson Hebrew Academy
- Direct your contributions to one or more of THA’s funds at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona. Please consider making a donation by mailing a check, going online or calling the Foundation. Unless you wish to be anonymous, we will be notified by the Foundation when a gift is received.
- Working in collaboration with your professional advisor(s), the Foundation can establish a separate named endowment fund (The John and Jane Smith Family Endowment Fund, for example). You can then designate the (name of agency endowment fund) as the only beneficiary, or one of several beneficiaries that you choose. Endowment funds are usually funded after the donor’s lifetime, but may be funded during one’s lifetime.
- Remember the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona in your will, trust or other testamentary means. The language used can be as simple as directing a percent or dollar amount of your estate to one or more of THA’s funds or to your family’s named endowment fund held at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona.
The Endowment Book of Life
Signing the donor-centered Endowment Book of Life is a warm and innovative process that begins with a promise and culminates with a legacy plan.
By signing our community’s Endowment Book of Life, you are simply stating that at some point in your life, you will take the time to create your legacy plan. The focus is on YOUR dreams and passions, and simplifying the steps to supporting what YOU care about in the days to come.
Since its inception in 1991, nearly 700 people have signed the Endowment Book of Life and many of them have established endowment funds at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona to help ensure the future of the Jewish and broader communities.
