Tuition + Tuition assistance

Private education is an investment in your child’s future.

At Tucson Hebrew Academy we believe that every child should be able to engage in an incredible Jewish education. We endeavor to accomplish this by providing ample tuition assistance opportunities that can help all families. For the 2021-22 school year, THA distributed over 1 million dollars in tuition assistance to 86% of our student body. Looking to apply for tuition assistance? Confused about where to start? See the chart below!

Tuition assistance links and applications

The Jewish Education Tax Credit Organization (JETCO) has been our scholarship partner since 1999. JETCO provides families with scholarship dollars to participate in Jewish education.

Arizona Leadership Foundation (ALF) provides scholarships through the Corporate Income Tax Credit and is available to families that meet the income requirements.

Institute for Better Education (IBE) provides scholarships to remove financial obstacles that stand in the way of better education. IBE provides Corporate Scholarships as well as Original Individual and PLUS/Switcher Funds. IBE takes recommendations from people who participate in the Tax Credit Program. For example, your relatives, friends, or coworkers may donate through the IBE Tax Credit Program and recommend that those funds be designated to THA and earmarked for your child. IBE provides pamphlets for you to distribute to help you gather funds.

Arizona Tuition Connection (ATC) provides scholarships to families of all income levels, as long as your child is enrolled in an Arizona Private K-12 school. Much like IBE, ATC helps you to raise funds through the Tax Credit Program and will provide personalized marketing materials such as brochures and donation pages.

Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund (APESF), much like IBE and ATC, provides scholarships to all income levels.

Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) are funds that come through the state of Arizona and can be requested by families on a quarterly basis. These funds go directly to the family from the state, and you will need to submit an invoice to request the funds. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You cannot legally receive scholarship funds from an STO (all of the above options) and receive funds from ESA. If you elect to receive funds from ESA, you must notify THA that you intend to do so. This might be a good option for some families, but please research it thoroughly before applying.

2023-24 Tuition payment plans

  • Option 2: Two (2) payments - 50% of tuition balance due June and 50% due December.
